This is a competition which was announced by “Young Architects Competitions”, and the aim was to transform an old, abandoned pottery factory into a colossal space designed for children.
The concept behind transforming the old pottery complex into a space for children is inspired by the principles of forest kindergartens, focusing on exploration, creative play, and fostering improvisation in both learning and play. As a result, the project is divided into two main volumes: one serves as the traditional educational space, while the other is dedicated to the playscape zone. Though this duality is evident in various aspects, such as functions, aesthetics, proportions, and entrances (formal and playful), the two volumes work together seamlessly, complementing and supporting each other’s activities
